Luxe Market Design: A Dream in the Making

Luxe Market Design is a little dream that I have had for a few years now. Not knowing where to start and the immense amount of nerves that I had made it difficult for me to start in on making my dream a reality. I feel like a major turning point for me in my journey was when I had my first son and the nesting instincts kicked in. I wanted to make my home pretty and cozy since I was now going to be a stay at home mom. I discovered pinterest and my mind went crazy! From there on I wanted to make everything beautiful from my home to birthday parties and any other party (or excuse I could turn into a party...)

When we purchased our first home in 2011, I was so excited to have my dream white, french, vintage home. I learned how to decorate on a pretty tight budget and really loved my vintage and diy pieces better than my store bought pieces. I painted my hand me down furniture and the blend of vintage and new items made my home feel more like a home. I feel like I had been missing out on this whole other vintage world and so were so many others and I felt like I needed to shout it from the rooftop. Why buy new furniture when vintage furniture is so gorgeous and can be refreshed and will add so much more character, not to mention the price difference! I began to feel like I had been wasting my money on new pieces when there were so many beautiful treasures out there.

My main purpose in starting Luxe Market Design is to inspire others to create and enjoy the all things beautiful. I truly enjoy shopping in unlikely places to find the most beautiful treasures. I hope that you will follow me in my journey, ask as many questions as you want, and share with me all your exciting finds and diy tips. I will use this blog to post pictures of my finds, my created treasures, and events styled. I will keep you posted on any events that I will be at or hosting in my home.
